28th Annual Cary City Invitational Swim Meet

Thanks for participating in the Cary City Invitational Swim Meet.
There are 29 potential teams and 1300 swimmers for this meet. As one of the original participants, Cary Swim Club (CSC) is excited to once again host this day of swimming with expectations that every family will have a fun and a positive swimming experience. Warm-ups for the morning will begin at 7:00 a.m. The morning session (10 & Under) will begin at 8:00 a.m. with opening announcements and followed by the first event starting at 8:15 a.m. This session will continue through 1:30 p.m. with (11 & Ups) warming up shortly after the morning session ends. The afternoon session will begin at 2:15 p.m. and end approximately at 8:00 pm, weather permitting. If weather is an issue, the meet will be called at 10:00 pm at the latest. Awards will be given out at the end of the afternoon session.POINTS
Points will be awarded for the top 16 places for individual events and relay events. Individual Events = 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relay Events = 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2. ONLY 1 team relay for each event per club may score. Medals will be awarded for 1st through 8th places in individual events and 1st through 3rd places in relays. Ribbons will be awarded for 9th through 16th places for individual events and 4th through 16th for relays. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 overall point scorers in each boys and girls age group. Trophies will also be awarded to the top 5 teams as well as a Team Spirit Award. All other clubs will receive a participation trophy. Each swimmer will receive 1 participation ribbon for the Meet and heat winners will receive Heat Winner Ribbons. The TSA Rep. or coach should pick up team’s medals and ribbons after the meet. Results will be posted in the far corner of the tennis court as quickly as possible.TSA rules will apply for this event.
SEATING
Parents need to bring own chairs. Bleachers will be set up on deck but seating will be limited. Clubs must provide no more than 3 chairs for their coaches. Coaches can set up their chairs after 7pm on the 17th. Coaches will be provided one parking pass, please display them in your window in order to park in the CSC lot. Primary parking is in the Church parking lot with overflow parking at Cary High School and York Properties across the street from the high school. DO NOT PARK in the Cary Towne Square shopping center where Dairy Queen and Ollie's is located.

Pre-meet meeting will be held on July 13th at 7:30 p.m.
Cary Swim Club 536 Walnut Street, Cary. Each club needs to send a representative to this meeting. Tent location and other important information will be discussed.
REGISTRATION
Fees are $3.00 per individual event, $7.00 for each relay team. Swimmers 7 and older may register for no more than 3 individual events and 6 & under for no more than 2 individual events (6 & Under swim 25 yards). Each club is limited to no more than 3 relay teams per relay event. Registration is due July 5th. (See Registration Information.) One check per club must be mailed to Cary Swim Club, P.O. Box 483, Cary, NC 27512-0483 (postmarked no later than Friday, July 3rd) or dropped off at Cary Swim Club no later than Sunday, July 5th.
